A glorious, sunny day with gentle south-east breezes greeted our members' families at Dinghy Cove for the final sailing session for juniors this year. Our children sailled the Vagabonds, cruised in Mobile 19 and romped in the warm water - generally enjoying themselves before a yummy lunch back on the rigging lawn area of our club. Sausage sizzle, iceblocks, chips, fruit, biscuits and marshmellows were washed down with cordial and fruit drinks. A fantastic way to celebrate our club's junior sailing program !
Many thanks go to the mums and dads who turned up each session to help with boat rigging, beach supervision, sail coaching, lunch provisioning, bbq cooking, area clean-up, kids games, gear stowage and being such good sports in allowing their children to experience small boat sailing through the Moreton Bay Boat Club - Sailing Branch. We anticipate your involvement with planning for our 2007 program through a member survey in February/March.
To all our junior sailors - thanks for coming. Enjoy your school holidays and have a fun-filled Christmas with your family. See you next year !
Cheers.
